BBC Biggest Weekend

Scone Palace Perth
25th and 26th May 2018

BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend will see music come together on the BBC like never before across TV, radio and online!

BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend will take place on four sites, in four nations, across four days. Belfast, Coventry, Perth and Swansea are the four UK cities that will host the event on the May bank holiday weekend from Friday 25th until Monday 28th May 2018.

The Perth event is being staged in the beautiful parklands of Scone Palace on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of May.

Friday’s event hosted by Radio 3 will include artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Jamie Cullum and Eddie Reader. Saturday’s event hosted by Radio 2 includes Emeli Sande, Simple Minds and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Shuttle Bus Travel to and from the event from Perth City Centre

Stagecoach East Scotland has teamed up with the BBC Biggest Weekend to introduce a shuttle bus service for people travelling to and from the event from Perth City Centre on both days.

Journeys will depart from the dedicated shuttle bus stop at the junction of Perth High Street and Tay Street from 11:30 on Friday 25th May and run every half an hour to Scone Palace. Returning to Perth City Centre in the evening, the last journey from the Palace will depart at 00:30 on the Saturday morning.

On Saturday 26th May, shuttle bus services will commence at 10:00 from the same dedicated stop and run every 15 minutes throughout the day to Scone Palace. Returning in the evening, the last departure to Perth City Centre will be at 01:00 on the Sunday morning.

A return ticket can be purchased for £5.00 with a single to or from the event also priced at £5.00.(A £1.65 postage charge applies for tickets purchased online)

Citylink will also be providing direct services from Aberdeen, Forfar, Dundee, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Glasgow, Cumbernauld, Stirling and Dunblane.

Please note: We strongly advise that seats for the shuttle bus service are pre-booked. Seats are likely to be extremely limited on the day for those that haven’t pre-booked.

The walk from the arena to the bus station within the Palace grounds will take approximately 20 minutes and is through grassy parkland.

Online shuttle bus ticket sales will cease on Friday 18th May to ensure delivery in time for the event.

Services are available to book using "Biggest Weekend (Scone palace)" as the destination and "Perth High Street" as the origin for the shuttle service.
